Acura Recalls
Acura Canada Recalls
The Acura name upholds a reputation for vehicles built on solid foundations featuring innovative features and state of the art technology. To maintain the Acura and Acura of Oakville's commitment to deliver outstanding safety, reliability, performance, and environmental standards, Acura occasionally asks owners to bring their Acura to certified Acura dealerships, e.g. Acura of Oakville, to perform recalls and /or component updates.
If you are a registered Acura owner, Acura will mail out letters to advise you of the issued recall. When you receive a recall letter in the mail it will include the following information; a description of the defect, how the Acura Canada plans to fix the problem, and instructions regarding what you should do next. Upon receipt of a notification detailing the recall specifics, contact Acura of Oakville to schedule a service appointment with a qualified Acura technician where you can have the defect repaired or component updated free of charge.
Was A Recall Issued For Your Acura?
If you are unsure whether a recall has been issued for your vehicle, you can use Acura's VIN lookup to check if there are any active recalls on your vehicle. The VIN number is a unique 17-digit vehicle identification number recognized worldwide. Your Acura's VIN number can usually be found on the driver's side of the dash. It will be visible from the outside through the window of the windshield. Once you locate and enter your unique VIN number in the lookup a list of active recalls will appear.
Alternatively, contact Acura of Oakville where our friendly staff will be able to advise you if a recall has been issued or come by our Service Department for help locating your VIN number.
