At Acura of Oakville, we have a vast selection of models available in our new inventory, offering Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning to help you stay safe on the road.
Overview Of Road Departure Mitigation in Acura Models
Road Departure Mitigation with Lane Departure Warning is a safety system that turns on every time you start your Acura. It gives you additional support on the road by vibrating the steering wheel to warn that the vehicle is leaving the driving lane without signaling. It also uses steering torque and the braking system to bring the car back into its appropriate lane or avoid leaving the lane initially. This system is always on, even when the lane-keeping assist system is off, and if you wish to turn off Road Departure Mitigation, all you have to do is press and hold the RDM button for two seconds. Once you do so, you will see a message on the Multi-information Display (MID), indicating that "Road Departure Mitigation OFF."
